Weekend in London & Seven Dials & St Martins Courtyard Shopping Event

What is better when you're feeling crappy, than going and spending a weekend with one of your besties! Absolutely nothing. So that is just what I decided to do. I packed up my things, and went to stay with my lovely friend Becca (Who has just started a blog that you should 100% go and check out because she is a great writer! )

I was invited to a shopping event being held at Seven Dials and St Martins Courtyard. Because I have been in such a fluster recently I didn't even realise that the event was going to be on the same time I was in London. We had no plans to actually go to this event, instead our plan was to go to Hyde Park. Whilst on the bus to Hyde Park, we spotted the shopping event and decided to get off and go and have a mooch round.

The event itself was a shopping event, meaning all the shops in the area had 20% discount, as well as a few food and drink stalls, live music etc. It was such a lovely sunny day and the atmosphere of the whole area was absolutely great!

As I was invited to this event as a blogger, there were a couple of talks which I had the option to attend. Whilst we were waiting for the talks to begin we decided to have a little mooch round the shops, getting out hands on some few cocktails, and my favourite bit - having our photos done in the pop up photo booth (Which had the loveliest staff in!!)

The talks that were happening were from editors of Elle and Esquire magazine. When we arrived for the talks, we were greeted with free cocktails and proper corn, which we were extremely happy with I must say!

The first talk we attended was held by Teo Van Dan Brooke who is senior style editor for Esquire magazine. He spoke about the latest trends for menswear, as well as showing us his favourite pieces from the stores in Seven Dials.

Whilst waiting for the next talk we decided to go for another wander around the area and see what else we could find! (Which ended up to be more free cocktails and another go at the photobooth)

The next talk was held by Harriet Stewart who is the market editor for Elle! Harriet's talk was about trends for ss/15 in womans wear. Showing us all her staple pieces that she would have in her wardrobe.

After a few too many free cocktails and bags of proper corn, we decided to head back to Becca's for a chilled out evening!

Day Two in London consisted of a slightly more relaxed day. We headed to Hyde Park to rent Borris Bikes. It was so much fun and the weather was absolutely stunning. If you're in London, I completely reccomend renting bikes and cycling around. In my opinion its a much better way to see London than being stuck on the tube!
