I was recently contacted by the lovely people at Connects who asked me if I would like to review the Microsoft Lumia 535*. I was over the moon from receiving this email and obviously said yes!
(Image Source)Now, it is so hard now to be biased especially when using an Iphone in my day to day life. But when using the Lumia 535, I tried to keep an open mind and forget about my Iphone. As I didn't have a sim in the phone, I could only use it to a certain extent, but nevertheless I tried to get the most out of it.
There are various features that Microsoft point out, such as the camera and Cortana that make this phone what it is. And I can tell you, they are not wrong. With being an Iphone user, I obviously have used Siri, and everyone knows that Siri doesn't always get what you say right, and is good but isn't great. Cortana on the other hand is amazing, Cortana picked up every single thing I said, got relevant searches for me and even sang me a song.
Another amazing feature is the camera.It's a shame because I received the phone during January which was my crazy assignment period in uni, so I couldn't go out and take amazing photos like I wanted to. I took a few on the front camera and I was happily impressed.
The things I don't like about this phone are that I found it hard to adjust to the keyboard just because it is so different to my Iphone and also the phone is quite large, because I have such small hands I found it quite difficult to comfortably hold.
If I was to get a new phone that wasn't an Iphone, I would definitely go for the Lumia 535, it covers all the boxes that I feel i would need when looking for a phone, and it always comes in various different colours meaning it can suit anyone!
