New years resolutions are usually something that people (including myself) never stick to. Everyone always promises to go on that run, put down that doughnut or drink that two recommend two litres of water that makes you pee non stop. Boohoo contacted me asking if I would like to join their new years fashion resolution campaign, I got to choose some clothes of my choice that I have always wanted to wear, but never took the leap of faith.
I decided to pick three tops that had lace up detail on the front. I always see people wearing gorgeous tops with lace up detail and I always feel that I can't wear that myself, so I decided to take the plunge.
The first top I chose was this gorgeous long sleeve striped top*. I am a sucker for black and white stripes (as i'm writing this, I am wearing a black and white striped tshirt..). I love that the lace up detail doesn't go too far down, so you aren't showing too much cleavage. This top is completely versatile and goes with everything which I love! For this outfit, I paired it with black Joni Jeans and some black ankle boots. For finishing touches, adding a black side bag and faux fur gilet. 
The second top I chose was another long sleeve top* (see a theme emerging), in a deep wine colour. I love this top, the lace detail is a bit wider, so a bit more skin is shown, but this top goes with everything and is such a gorgeous colour. For this outfit I paired the top with a black denim a-line skirt, with the same bag, gilet and ankle boots.
The third top I chose is a grey peplum style top with bell sleeves*. This was quite a risk choice for me, as I wasn't 100% sure when i chose it. I do love the top, although it is quite revealing for every day outfits - It is a great top to wear when you want to dress up a bit more. Every time i've worn this, I have had compliments which is great and obviously makes me feel better. For this outfit, I paired the top with black joni jeans and berry loafter style flats.
I love all three tops and am glad I took the plunge in wearing a new style I normally wouldn't opt for. Thank you very much to Boohoo for sending me these lovely tops!
